Join Saul Mukhtar of Avayasana Retreats for a unique experience of healing and personal exploration in one of the world’s most spectacular natural landscapes. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth and the closest you’ll come to the womb of Mother Nature. Situated at 420 meters below sea level, this hyper-saline lake contains a high concentration of minerals such as magnesium, calcium, bromide and potassium which nourish the skin and relax the nervous system. Sunlight here is naturally filtered due to the low altitude, reducing damage to the skin while providing much needed vitamin D. The Dead Sea region is the world’s oldest natural spa, combining powerful therapeutic elements, stunning natural beauty and compelling ancient history. At Avayasana Retreat, you’ll rest in comfortable accommodations surrounded by the spectacular Judean desert which has attracted dreamers and revolutionaries for thousands of years. Restore your mind with sunrise meditation and expand your physical horizons as you float effortlessly in the pristine waters of the Dead Sea. Unleash the deep healing powers of weightlessness through a set of unique floating techniques that can only be practiced here!
We begin the day with early morning yoga and meditation. With over twenty years’ experience, Saul designs each class according to your level. A nutritious breakfast follows, energizing you for a day of hiking or exploring the area. Afternoons are set aside to experience the powerful healing qualities of the Dead Sea. Allow mineral-rich mud to rejuvenate your skin and receive the therapeutic benefits of floating yoga. Return to the villa for an evening session of yoga, followed by a nourishing, authentic Bedouin meal. Join Saul for a star-gazing walk through the desert (optional) before retiring to your comfortable bed to rest and restore.
